Cotton Candy Fairy Bites

When I say
stick-thin
I am not referring
to the ideal size
of a wrist
or thigh
or
other such
humanly parts.
*
No, indeed.
*
I'm speaking of
the only way
to eat
shis-ka-bobs,
lollipops,
corndogs,
caramel apples,
Balboa bars
&
cotton candy
*
Because,
as it turns out,
vittles on
thin sticks
do not
lend themselves
to helping one being
stick thin.
*
(ah, well.)

Cotton Candy Fairy Bites
Tiny tubs of colorful cotton candy are stacked in the Easter aisles, there waiting to entice even the most obedient children to beg.beg.beg. for a bite of the soft stuff. But, it's so sticky! And so difficult to share! I say, that's no reason to keep your loved ones from a spun-sugar celebration. These simple, bite sized treats pack all the fun of cotton candy with none of the mess. Whip these suckers up and you're just a few balloons & darts away from a full-blown state fair.
*
1 package extra long sucker sticks
1 bag white chocolate chips
20-25 large marshmallows
2-2 oz. tubs cotton candy
*
In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, melt white chips by microwaving for 30 seconds, then stirring, microwaving for 30 seconds then stirring, until smooth. Place marshmallows on sucker sticks and dip into melted white chocolate mixture. Wrap a thin sheet of cotton candy around the dipped marshmallow. Stick completed pieces in a piece of styrofoam and allow chocolate to harden before serving.
